Verbal Reasoning section:

• Verbal reasoning intended to assess Test takers proficiency to synthesize information from analysis and evaluation of given context and content.
• Verbal reasoning section is comprised on three tasks which are basically Reading Comprehension, Completion of Text , and Sentence Equivalence.
• Most part of the section is based on passages; rest of the part is comprised of incomplete sentences, and group of sentences and paragraphs, both parts of the section to be comprehend and concluded by Test takers.
• Reading Comprehension task is designed to assess the applicants' proficiency in order to comprehend and interpret subject composition generally encountered at Graduation study.
• Text Completion task omits pivotal words from short passages; incomplete words to be filled by Test takers on the basis of information provided in the passage; in order to make whole passage coherent with logical respond, grammatically, and appropriate meaning.
• Sentence Equivalence task is identical to Text Completion section, in this section as well based on the partial information provided, applicants should complete passage with a greater extent meaning because this section consists of a single sentence, one blank, and six answer choices, but applicants' aim for all questions to choose best two choices to make meaningful whole sentence; no score for partially correct choice.

Quantitative Reasoning section:

• Quantitative Reasoning section comprised on components of Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Data analysis Mathematical skills.
• GRE Test intended to assess Test takers ability in fundamental mathematical proficiency which obtained through formal education; commonly not even higher range than a second course in Algebra.
• This section does not comprise Trigonometry, Calculus, and further high range Mathematics.
• For difficult problems, applicants are authorised to use basic calculator provided on computer screen to solve precise computation without any hesitation easily.
• Most of the Mathematical questions to be solved are word based which are easy to convert and shown mathematically proved.

• Unrecognised unscored section that couldn't carry count towards applicants' scores may be comprised and after Analytical Writing it might seem in any order. Attempting questions in unscored section is useful for future tests or to assure that scores on new versions of the test are equivalent to scores from earlier versions.
• At the end of the Test, each and every applicant offered to attempt a recognised official research task which can be comprised as unscored section but enclosed for ETS research purposes.
• The primary section in GRE General Test is Analytical Writing. Later, in any order The Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Unscored Sections may appear; therefore, applicants must treat each section as if it counts towards their GRE General Test score.
• None of the questions are answered in any section then applicants receive their Test score report as No Score (NS).

GRE General Test features:

• GRE General Test is advanced adaptive planned computer based Test, which allows applicants to move freely forward, backward and provides various options such as preview and review abilities within a section only.
• Features like "Mark" and "Review" to tag questions, so applicants have option to skip and move forward to attempt well known questions first and go back later if applicants have time to attempt the left questions remained in the section as well as capability to change / edit answers within a section.
  Additionally, an on-screen calculator provided for the Quantitative Reasoning Test Section.
• All GRE Tests provide the score selection option, which means applicants can write test once now, or again in the future, and can only send the GRE Tests scores from which ever test date(s) applicants would like to submit to their opted schools within 5 years from first test written date onwards.

Here is how it works:

• After completion of Test, applicants are offered to select or discard their Test scores. If applicants opt to (Report)view then their unofficial scores of Verbal, and Quantitative sections will be displayed on their Computer screen.
• Applicants can choose to send current attempted test day score reports as they wish designated schools to see.
• Applicants can select all GRE General Test administration score reports, taken within last five years period.

After Test Day, applicants can choose score reports through a fee payment and they can select from these options for each of their score report, they would like to send for their desired schools.

• They can send from utmost recent GRE Test administration report.
• They can choose to send from all GRE Test administration reports within the last five years period.
• They can select one or more test administration reports as they wish from the last five years period.

It doesn't matter which option they choose:

Applicants can choose specific test dates, so their score reports are all from their attended Test session.

Applicants preferred institutions can only see their Test score reports because they have selected to send their score reports.

These score reports are exclusively sent to only those schools opted by the applicants of their admissibility. Special indication will not be mentioned if any applicants attempted additional GRE Tests.

NOTE : Applicants are required to check with programs because some programs require applicants who have taken GRE Test more than once to report the score reports from all of their attempted GRE Test administrations.

• Applicants can access their past five years Test scores with score selection option. This amenity is feasible to the GRE- General, and subjects Tests.
• After the completion of their Test, applicants can opt score review option within 90 days via payment of 60 USD. Applicants can pay through online ETS account from where they registered for GRE Test or else via offline PDF form which can be downloaded from ETS website .

Fees for GRE Tests and related services:

• Fees are collected in U.S.A Dollars only.
• Effective from 1st July 2020, GRE Test charges $213 in India; Fee is tentative without prior notice.
• Special handling charges applicable around $50, if applicants reschedule Test date or relocate test center.

Test Preparation:

• To make yourself best on your test day, you can start preparing with free and low cost Test preparation materials for GRE Tests provided by ETS, who are the GRE Test makers.
• Applicants can view their GRE Test score reports at Free of cost through online such as Online score reports, can print online official examination score card, GRE General Test Diagnostic service.
• Consequently, Some services are charged like Additional GRE Test Score Reports, Score Review for Analytical Writing measure and Score Reinstatement Fee.

Payment accepted options:

• Credit card / Debit Card payments are accepted.
• Personal paper Cheque payments are accepted, but ensure to make Payable on ETSGRE(drawn at U.S. bank accounts only).

ETS reserves the rights of Online payment methods to add or remove at its own prudence.

NOTE : ETS doesn't accept cash payments for GRE Test.

Refund Policy:

Applicants who discard their GRE Test dates four days prior to their registered Test dates, consequently half of their original Test fee will be refunded.

• Refunds will be credited in U.S. Dollars only.
• Refunds are not compensated via cash payment.
• Unless applicants follow registration procedures and /or applicants fail to provide the essential identity documents at the test center; refunds will not be credited.
• Credit Card / Debit Card, and Bank account payments refund are processed and credited back to their original Credit / Debit cards, or Bank account.

For Cheque payments, after applicants' cancellation allow eight weeks to be processed their refund into their original bank account.

Registration Checklist:

It is important for applicants to review fees, make sure they select the right Test Date, Time and understand the policies and procedures, before they begin the registration process.

Before creating ETS account, Applicants have to ensure to review information about their Name they use while registering, inclusive of what to do if they have a Name change, because in order to view their scores, and to access other services, they must have an ETS account.

ID Requirements:

On GRE Test day, applicants are responsible for carrying a valid and recognised identification documents, and carried identification must be with the same first and last names as they used while creating account for their Test registration.

General Identification Documents Required:

Identification documents are accepted with the following requirements, with few exceptions. Every ID must :

• be present in authentic ID evidences on Test day; mimeographed evidences are not authorised for admissibility via electronic gadgets, smart phones et cetera.
• be an any government-issued identity card, it must be recognised by the country as they are citizens or permanent residents of the relevant country.
• be valid; in valid ID evidences are un acceptable.
• display applicants' forename and surname as provided while enrolling for the GRE Test, ignoring accents.
• a recent, recognisable photograph must be included.
• include applicants' signatures(their names on the ID documents must match)

ID Requirements in India:

• In India, Primary acceptable ID Document is citizenship passport book, which includes Name, photograph, and signature.
• Unless Applicants' Name, photograph and signature mentioned on all ID documents, they are not acceptable.
• When applicants take GRE Test outside their citizenship country still they have to present valid passport book, which includes Name, photograph and signature. There are no exemptions in this policy.

Unacceptable ID Documents:

The following evidences are not considered as foremost or additional ID requirements:

• Any ID evidence failure to exhibit applicants' forename and surname which provided during enrollment of the Test.
• Applicants cannot exhibit their Credit / Debit cards.
• International driving license.
• Date of birth certificate.
• Employee Identity card.
• Applicants' ID evidence without Name, Photograph, and Signature; unrecognised government ID.

Failure to fulfil ID provisions:

Incase applicants are failed to exhibit their ID evidences being on refugee status, and asylum or due to any other reasons; contact ETS OTI(Office of Testing Integrity). This must be done at least a week prior to their Test registration. Confirmation might be received from OTI before their Test registration. Applicants ensure to provide mandatory evidences to fulfil ETS OTI for review process before issuing approval. If applicants are unable to produce or ETS dissatisfied with their evidences ; applicants are not permitted to take the Test and paid fees forfeited.

During check-in at GRE Test center, ID Verification might include:

• Biometric photo identification and voice
• Fingerprinting/ thumb printing
• Videotaping.
• Comparison of signature.

If applicants reject to participate , they may not be allowed to take the Test and their Test fees will be forfeit . Applicants must present in- person with a valid acceptable identification, this check-in at Test center is an addition to the requirement.

Policy

You can cancel your scores:

Applicants are offered to Report(view) or Discard their Test results after completion of the Test. If applicants selected to view scores, cannot cancel them. Once applicants chosen to cancel their scores, it cannot be retrieved through online as well.

Therefore, applicants must ensure before selecting cancel option. In their reportable history, cancelled scores are not added.

Reinstatement Score Report:

By payment of 50$ fee after Test date, applicants can reinstate scores within 60 days through online from their ETS account. Payment should be done through Credit card/ Debit card if applying through ETS account. If payments done through personal papers cheque or money order; applicants should fill score reinstatement form (PDF) along with that form send payment receipt to address mentioned on the form. If applicants haven't selected four free recipients on the Test day later they can reinstate with the payment of 27$ per each recipient.

As on applicants' wish to reinstate their scores to the designated institutions, after their request, reinstated Test results will be reported two weeks later.

Absence from a Test:

If applicant is absent from a test administration, their Test fee will be forfeit. Institutions can't collect any information regarding applicant's absence or concerning applicant's earlier scores may be on file.

Expulsion from Test center:

Applicants' violation causes expulsion from Test center. Following reasons results for expulsion.

A test administrator has authorization to dismiss applicants from a Test session and their scores may be ultimately cancelled for any reasons those violate policies and procedures assigned forth herein and/or discussed at the test center including such as:

• Instead of applicant someone is attending to take the Test or if applicant arranges someone else to take his/her test.
• Acceptable identifications are not provided.
• Attaining improper access to the Test, a portion of the test or details about the test.
• In case of having advance questions and answers of test administration, carrying pre-knowledge test administration, identification documents, clothing, prohibited devices such as smart phones, tablets, smart watches, creating turmoil during exam and attempting to tamper computer etc cetera.

Acceptable GRE Test scores:

Acceptable GRE Test scores vary from one programme to another programme, and from one institution to another institution, in subject to their institutions academic standards.

GRE Test scores consist two components which are GRE percentile rank and scaled score.

GRE score scale:

The GRE Test score scale range in-between 130 to 170 for both Verbal and Quantitative sections( with being 130 the minimum possible score and 170 the maximum score). The GRE Test score scale range in-between 0 to 6 for Analytical Writing( with being 1.0 the minimum possible score and 6.0 the maximum score).

GRE percentile rank:

On the other hand, GRE Test score Percentile indicates the comparison between the Test-takers. For instance, if one applicant's GRE score percentile is 57 , then respective applicant scored better than 57 percent of Test-takers.

The GRE Test score in each section range in-between 130-170 scale.

• Consider other sources like applicants' submitted statement of purpose (SOP), letters of recommendation (LOR), and any research project done during their undergraduate Bachelors study.
• Lastly, applicants' in time applications submission as well matters because lots of applications will be received by institutions for scholarships, many Test-takers fulfil excellent proficiency in GRE Test, academic grades, other requirements, so applicants must be alert prior to deadlines and always be in touch with designated institutions. 2) GRE Subject Test:

GRE Test Score Report Validity:

The validity of the GRE Test scores report is five years from the date specified on the score report.

Age limit:

There is no age restriction set by ETS for applicants to take GRE Tests but while registration applicants need to mention their Intended Graduate Major. Usually applicants prefer GRE Test who opt to apply for graduation degree after completion of their undergraduate degree or equivalent, institutions mention age requirement for admissibility.

Rescheduling the GRE General Test:

• Applicants desire to change their registered Test date; request to be done four days earlier to registered Test date or else Test fee will be forfeited.
• Additional fee 50 USD applicable for rescheduling Test date.
• Rescheduling date should be within a year from the original appointment date. For instance, (1 Aug- 31 July).
• Rescheduling can be done through their ETS Account , and by Phone Call as they should be ready with their details as per Test registration to fulfil according to Regional Registration Center(RRC) requirements.
• Applicants can't exchange their paid fees in-between the GRE General & Subject Tests.

Cancelling the GRE General Test:

• Applicants who discard their GRE Test dates four days prior to their registered Test dates, consequently half of their original Test fee will be refunded.
• Cancellation can be done through ETS Account , and by Phone: Call Regional Registration Center(RRC), and provide required details as per Test registration.

GRE Test Results:

Applicants after taking their GRE General Computer-delivered Test can access their results within 10-15 days in their official ETS account; an E-mail notification as well received from ETS to check results. Consequently, official Test scores will be received by designated institutions and organistaions; opted at the time of Test registration or Test day.

Applicants' GRE Subjects Test Paper based official scores will be available in their ETS official account within Five weeks after their Test date.
