• SAT is a Written-based Test. Total score ranges in-between 400 - 1600 points. Average score of SAT Test should be more than 1100 points than it is considered to be acceptable.

• Test centers in India: In India, 30 SAT Test centers are available in major cities. At the time of SAT Test Registration; Candidates can see the list of Test centers in major cities such as: Vizag, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Chennai, New Delhi, Mumbai, Guwahati, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Kolkata, Bangalore, Kanpur, Ahmedabad, Jodhpur, Lucknow, Coimbatore, Ranchi, Indore, Sohna, Jaipur, Mohall, Faridabad, Vadodara, Bhubaneswar, Cochin, Gurgaon, Amritsar, Dehradun et cetera.
• There is not limit has been setup for SAT Test, so students can take as many times they can but most universities tend to not accept for students who have taken more than 3 or 4 times because during the admission process, it can be perceived as the students’ inability.
• Duration of SAT Test is 3 hours only. In between the SAT Tests, only a 10 minute and a 5 minute intervals are provided, other than these breaks are not provided in the SAT Test.
• Test-takers have to present their valid Aadhar card, or Passport book with Name, photograph, and signature. If student bearing a U.S Department of Defense (DOD) Common Access card (CAC), there is an exception in this policy so student can use instead of a passport book.

Articles to be allowed at SAT Test centers:

• SAT Test Hall-Ticket.
• Government issued ID Proof with photograph
• Calculator, pencils, pens, erasers.
• Drinking water bottles.

All the above items should be carried in a transparent pouch which is visible to the invigilators at the Test center.

SAT Test is classified into:

Two into two types:

1) SAT 1(General Test)

2) SAT 2(Subject Test)

Multiple SAT Tests are conducted by College Board.

Scholastic Assessment Test or SAT 1 should be taken by students who required under graduate admissions. SAT 1 is a general test, cause behind its development to assess the students' ability in Reading, Written and Mathematical Skills.

SAT 2, on the other side, is an additionally focused subject-oriented Test.

Education Qualification:

• College Board or the Educational Testing Service (ETS) has not specified any kind of academic eligibility requirements but students are required to provide their information regarding school grades, intended major courses, interests, college plans among other things. Applicants with higher secondary, and secondary education can take the SAT Test who seeks admissions majorly in USA and Canada universities/institutions. Appropriate age to take the SAT Test is in-between 17 - 19 years old because at that age usually candidates would pursue 10th, 11th, or 12th standard classes; readiness to join Bachelors degree programs.
• A good command on the English language is mandatory to attempt the SAT Test because medium of the instruction of the SAT Test is English so fluency in the English language is one of the eligibility requirements.
• Hence, before applying for the SAT Test students have to confirm eligibility criteria with specific institutions, later on apply for the Test.
• Age limit: Any high school pursuing students can take the SAT Test. The College Board has setup particular rules for less than 12 years and above 21 years old candidates.
• Students less than 12 years old should register through phone or mail.
• Due to privacy laws and also for students who register via phone receives fee waiver.
• Students above 21 years old must carry an official government -issued photo ID at the Test center.

Registration process:

• The SAT Test is globally offered in the months of, August, October, December, March, and May. Therefore, before the deadline date of rescheduling, candidates are supposed to cancel or reschedule the SAT Test as per the terms and conditions. Applicants have to ensure their Test dates availability and Test centers as per their convenience through College board Official website.
• Candidates who want to take the Test should decide the time and date to take the Test and to be registered within the bounded time period. Deadline dates are precise and the registration link ends at 11:59 P.M, eastern standard time, USA.

The procedure to enroll for the SAT Test:

Candidates while applying through online mode, the following steps to be ensured for smooth application process:

• Look in to College Board Official website
• Applicants have to enroll through registration and eventually log in to the official website via username and password to book their Test slot. Please note, behalf of the applicant someone else can't register.
• Fill in details as per College Board requirement and make sure details to be same as their photo Identity proof which will be used to take the Test.
• Upload recently taken photo of candidates that meet specific requirements of the College Board.
• Check details according to their ID proof to be shown at Test center and ensure details before payment.
• Candidates can make payments with acceptable Credit cards or PayPal.
• Print/ Download your SAT Test appointment letter than sign-out.

If candidates meet any one of the below circumstances, Candidates need to be registered through Mail:

• If requesting to opt SAT Test on Sunday for the first time.
• If submitting the payment via cheque/ money order/ Bank Draft (Payable to “The College Board”). Cheques must be drawn at U.S. banks only otherwise it will be returned.
• If below 13 years old.
• If applicants' registrations done via international representatives of SAT.
• If applicants are unable to sync their photograph which is part of their computerised registration process.

The following procedure to mail paper-based enrolment :

• Candidates can collect student Registration Booklet for SAT Test from their high school counsellor.
• If candidates taking the SAT Test outside the USA, Candidates must mail their documents such as registration form along with payment proof copy before the US deadlines.
• The SAT Test fees inclusive of the Test fee along with the Non-US Regional Fee which is 52 USD + Non-US Regional Fee 49 USD.

Additional fees might be applicable if students choose any of the below-mentioned categories:

• Registration process through phone costs 15 USD additional charges.
• If students opt to change Test center or Test date costs 30 USD additional charges.
• Waitlist fee of 53 USD is applicable incase applicants' admittance to the Test on same day itself.

SAT Test Pattern:

The College Board recommends the SAT Test pattern into four sections. The three sections comprise of Reading Test, Writing Test, and the Mathematical Test. College Board has taken decision to cancel optional essay permanently along with SAT Subject Test after June 2021. Candidates who take SAT Test can apply for admissions in various universities globally using SAT Test Report.

SAT Test New Pattern:

College Board has already Cancelled SAT Subject Tests along with the Optional essay for U.S Students; the same process is underway for international students (Outside U.S region Test takers) as well effectively applicable after June 2021.

Scholarships:

If students’ scores are tremendous in the SAT Test; they will have more possibilities of admittance in renowned institutions, along with considerable scholarships as well. While students are studying class xi or xii, Students can apply for SAT Test registration discount availed by College Board based on their family low income and only one discount voucher is awarded per student.

Cancellation Refund:

• In case , if applicants cancel their SAT Test registration 5 days before their Test day, they can't receive their refunds.
• If applicants cancel their SAT Test registration more than five weeks before their Test day, they receive partial refund of 10 USD only.
• After Test date six weeks later refunds are processed.
• If applicants are absent on Test day, applicants ordered score reports with registration are refundable.
