The below section describes more information about PTE Test:

• PTE Academic Test result is accepted by Institutions in UK, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Ireland, Germany, Singapore, and many other countries worldwide.
• PTE Academic Test is conducted almost every month around a year, except Saturday and Sunday. So applicants ensure time zone and time format while booking Test because many centers may conduct Test almost 24 hours a day. However , general timings of the Test would be in-between 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Personal Introduction:

This article is not considered for scoring, but will be sent to applicants' selected institutions along with their score report. This is an opportunity for applicants to give information about themselves to their opted institutions.

Reading:

• In this part2 section, applicants are assessed on their ability in reading skills. The duration of this section is 32-40 minutes only. The score range for this section is 10-90 points.
• This section contains 15-20 independent and integrated skills articles, based on the combination of articles given in a Test. Distinct response formats, inclusive of multiple-choice with multiple and single answer, fill in the blanks, and re-order paragraphs.
• Comprehend each question in every section in-depth.

Listening:

• In this part3 section, applicants are assessed based on audio clips or video clips which commence to play automatically. Applicants can hear /see audio or video clip only once so listen carefully while playing. Applicants are allowed to take written notes. The duration of this Test is 45-57 minutes only. The score range for this section is 10-90 points.
• The questions are inclusive of multiple-choice with multiple and single answer, fill in the blanks, write from dictation, select missing word, highlight incorrect words, highlight correct summary, and summarise spoken text.

UK:

• If applicants applying for a study or work visas with PTE Academic UKVI, they need to give their consent to share their scores reports for their UK visa applications purposes.
• The PTE Academic and PTE Academic UKVI comprised of same content and context. Except minor differences in the registration process such as applicants must comply with UK Home Office requirements.
• If applicants require family or settlement visas, then applicants can opt for PTE Home Test.

Applicants can select PTE Academic UKVI:

• In case applicants seeking for UK Study visas like under degree level programs: Foundation courses, Pathway courses, or Professional course like English and other programs such as Non- Higher Education Institution(HEI) degree courses (which may be above or below degree level).

Australia:

• The Department of Home Affairs(DHA) in Australia accepts PTE Academic Test for all visa categories which are issued based on an evidence of English Language proficiency level. Applicants regarding score requirements for their pertaining visas; they must consult relevant information department.
• If applicants select multiple boxes provided while registering their Tests seeking their Test scores to be sent to the Australia DHA, they are automatically shared with the respective department.

New Zealand:

• The Department of Home Affairs(DHA) in New Zealand accepts PTE Academic Test for all visa categories which are issued based on an evidence of English Language proficiency level. Applicants regarding score requirements for their pertaining visas; they must consult relevant information department.
• If applicants ticked either of the boxes while booking their Tests requesting their scores to be allocated to the New Zealand DHA , they are automatically shared with the respective department.

Accepted Scores:

• Applicants' overall score should be above 75 to be accepted into Top institutions abroad.
• However, a good PTE Test score of 65 and above is considered for admission in most colleges abroad.
• A minimum PTE Test score of 65 in each section would be considered as a good score for applicants applying for Permanent Resident visa.

Understand Scores:

• Based on communicative skills scores and Enabling skills scores the PTE Academic Test overall score range is scored in between 10-90 points.
• Communicative skills part comprised of speaking and writing section, reading section, and listening section.
• Enabling skills part comprised of Grammar, Oral Fluency, Pronunciation, Spelling, Vocabulary and Written Discourse.

PTE Home Test:

• Applicants who opt for UK Family and Settlement visas are better to take PTE Home because the Secure English Language Tests (SELT) PTE Home and PTE UKVI are recognised by the UK Home Office.
• It is a Pass-Fail Speaking and Listening Test, taken in a secure and friendly environment on a computer. The PTE Home provided English Language proficiency Test scores report fulfil Levels A1,A2, and B1of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
• Applicants need to fulfill these CEFR Levels for their Visas if: Applying for Family visa, Work visa, GradAce Abroad business, Sports person visa.
• For PTE Home A1 Test applicants need to answer 32 questions and duration time lasts up to 22 minutes. There are 3 different question types such as Repeat sentence, Describe an image, and conversation.
• For PTE Home A2 Test applicants need to answer 30-33 questions and duration time lasts up to 25 minutes. There are 3 different question types such as Repeat sentence, Describe an image, and Story re-tell.
• For PTE Home B1 Test applicants need to answer 29-32 questions and duration time lasts up to 29 minutes. There are 4 different question types such as Repeat sentence, Describe an image, for these multiple sections of conversation , and Story, applicants need to listen than answer the questions.

Methods Of fee Payment:

• Credit card (Visa , MasterCard , American Express, and JCB)
• Debit card (Visa, and MasterCard )

PTE rescheduling / Cancellation fee:

PTE Academic rescheduling / Cancellation is free if done at least 14 days before the test date. If done 13 to 8 days before the test date, a 50% fee should be paid and if done 7 days before the test, then the full test fee should be paid.

• Applicants are able to reschedule / cancel their Test dates without fee deduction, 14 days before the registered Test date.
• Applicants are able to reschedule / cancel their Test dates with fee deduction of 50%, 8 to 13 days before the registered Test date.
• Applicants are able to reschedule / cancel their Test dates with full fee deduction, 7 days before the registered Test date.

Acceptable Identity Document:

PTE ACADEMIC:

Acceptable ID to take Pearson Test of English(PTE) at secure Pearson VUE Test Center is

• A valid Passport book(Not more than 10years old) (or) Government ID card with photograph.
• Original Identity documents are acceptable; copies are not accepted.
• If applicants appearing for PTE Test outside/within their Citizenship country then they must present a valid passport book.
• Applicants need to present the same ID on the Test day which was shared at the time of booking their Test.
• The Name used while booking the Test must be exactly same as their name on the ID.

PTE Academic UKVI and PTE Home:

Applicants must bring any one of the following documents to comply the UK Government criteria to take their SELT Test either PTE UKVI or PTE Home:

• A valid Passport (Not more than 10years old) (or) Government ID card with photograph.
