Arrival in a new country
Banking and foreign exchange
Opening up a bank account would be one of the first items on your to-do list as you settle in your new country for your education. Getting a local bank account would make it easier for you to access the funds and compensate for rent, school fees and living expenses. It will also allow your manager to transfer the salary if you wish to work after studies. We will be guiding you with the moves you need to make to get your finances going.
Insights into the local culture
Before arrival in your new country, it'll be really helpful to have some background research and understanding of the local community and customs. It supports integration into the group and can help you connect more efficiently with your classmates. The fun part of travelling GradAce Abroad to study is getting to know about stuff people do differently from other cultures. We're going to tell you all about the culture, the activities, the local life and even some basic frequently used conversation terms that will be handy for you.
Student life in your new country
When you study abroad, you may need to fine-tune to a different learning atmosphere along with being accustomed to new cultural norms. Our workshops will help you on learning patterns, behaviors and aspirations of a student in a foreign classroom.
Culture shock
Cultural shock is normal as you step into a society which is different from yours. As it plays a significant role in transforming you to your study country, we organise sessions that address the various phases of disappointment, transition and acceptance. We would also guide you with some simple techniques on how to recognise if you are undergoing culture shock and how to deal with it.
Support and well-being in your new country
Be it an academic help, English language assistance or visa guidance, in our pre-departure support sessions, and we discuss some of the realistic help that international students should receive.
Internships & Earning while you study
